CHS Senior Beta Club Wins At State Convention

The Caroline High School Beta Club students competed at their state convention in Richmond, Virginia on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st. Students from across the state of Virginia meet at convention to compete academically and artistically.   Senior Beta club sponsors, Patty Kline and Billie Teague, are extremely proud of our BETAs’ participation as well as their stellar representation of CHS.

Caroline High School had several students who placed in their competition areas. Katherine Kline placed third in the mixed media art category, Gavin Lowrie placed third in the oratory competition, Zachary Roberts placed third in the social studies academic competition, and Jimmy Hayes made it to the final round of the talent competition.

After a rigorous process, senior Gavin Lowrie, also won a National Beta Club scholarship. He will be awarded a thousand dollars each year for the next four years while attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

All students who placed at the state convention are now eligible to compete at the National Senior Beta Convention in Nashville, Tennessee in June.
